Andrea Parady

LMFT

My name is Andrea Parady, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Utah. I hold a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Brigham Young University. One therapeutic approach I specialize in is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which I find highly effective in helping clients work through trauma and anxiety.

In my practice, I have gained extensive experience addressing various issues, including sexual desire, arousal, orgasm, pain, satisfaction, addiction or out-of-control sexual behavior, as well as sexual trauma, abuse, childhood trauma, and betrayal trauma. Regardless of the presenting problem, my initial focus is on building a strong bond and fostering trust with my clients. This relationship is essential for successful therapy, as it allows me to gain a deep understanding of their lives, struggles, and strengths.

As a therapist, witnessing clients overcome their struggles and hardships is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. I firmly believe that individuals can overcome past trauma and create safe, happy, and fulfilling relationships. I employ various therapeutic methods based on the unique needs of each client, including the Sexual Attentiveness and Accountability Model (SAAM), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the Gottman Method.

The motivation behind my career choice stems from witnessing the damaging effects of untreated trauma and mental health problems on individuals, couples, and families. I am driven to help people find healing and happiness in their lives.
