Zak Hazlett

LAMFT

I'm Zak Hazlett, a Marriage and Family Therapist who completed my studies at Brigham Young University. My passion lies in helping individuals and couples discover joy and satisfaction in various aspects of life. I firmly believe in the incredible power of our minds and bodies, recognizing them as the vessels through which we can experience the most profound joy. In my work, I have the privilege of assisting individuals and couples, creating a therapeutic space where we can share both laughter and tears as we navigate the ups and downs of life.

In couples therapy, my goal is to help couples gain a deeper understanding of the patterns that have developed within their relationship and work towards establishing greater connection. I firmly believe that genuine connection emerges as we experience emotions together, and it is a fundamental component of healthy emotional and sexual relationships. Often, we struggle to share our emotions, whether positive or negative, with our partners, impeding our ability to truly connect. My focus is on helping couples become more open, vulnerable, and connected to one another. Witnessing the growth that occurs in all aspects of their lives as they strive towards their goals is truly fulfilling.

Beyond my work as a therapist, I cherish spending time with my family and friends, engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, running, and playing sports. During weekends, I run an outdoor retreat business called "Get Outside Together," providing couples and families an opportunity to escape the distractions of daily life and reconnect in a fun and organic way. My research centers around how outdoor recreation impacts togetherness within families and couples. I have presented my findings at conferences across the country and find great joy in helping people, both indoors and outdoors, connect on every possible level.
