Sex Therapy in Provo, Utah

Covenant Sex Therapy sees individuals and couples at our Provo office for the full range of sexual concerns. Our practice was founded by Dr. Anthony Hughes, an AASECT certified sex therapist, and every therapist here is trained and supervised in sex therapy. We are two miles north of Brigham Young University, about a five minute drive, and we also see clients by telehealth anywhere in Utah.

Our Provo office

3355 North University Avenue, Suite 250, Provo, UT 84604

We are on the second floor. There is a large parking lot with spaces out front and more around the side, so you should not have to hunt for a spot. Come up the stairs and you will see a plaque for Covenant Therapy marking our suite. Our offices are at the end of the suite, marked Covenant Sex Therapy.

When you arrive, have a seat in the waiting area inside the suite. Your therapist will come out to get you at your appointment time. There is no front desk to check in with and nothing to announce.

The offices at the back look out over a pond, which is a better view than most therapy rooms and makes the first few minutes easier for a lot of people.

Therapists at our Provo office

Dr. Brian Hansen, PsyD

Brian is a licensed clinical psychologist and sex therapist with more than twelve years of experience. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Brigham Young University and works with individuals and couples on intimacy, sexual health, and connection.

Tasha Diaz, LMFT

Tasha is a licensed marriage and family therapist and an approved supervisor. She has guest lectured at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University on sex therapy and emotional abuse, and she helps clients integrate their sexuality and their faith rather than keeping them separate.

Hannah Grundvig, LMFT

Hannah works with couples facing betrayal connected to pornography and with couples who struggle to talk about sex at all. She also sees individuals dealing with sexual trauma, anxiety, and depression, and she primarily uses solution focused brief therapy.

Seth Rimer, CSW

Seth helps individuals and couples with unwanted sexual behaviors, differences in sexual desire, and difficulty communicating about sex. He draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing.

What we treat in Provo

Low sexual desire and differences in desire between partners. Arousal difficulty and erectile concerns. Trouble reaching orgasm, and premature or delayed ejaculation. Painful sex and vaginismus. Pornography use that feels out of control. Betrayal and affair recovery. Sexual shame, anxiety, and religious guilt about sex. The effects of sexual abuse and trauma. Obsessive-compulsive disorder as it shows up in sexual and religious life. Couples who want a better sexual relationship without anything being technically wrong.

This is not a full list. If your concern is not here, reach out and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

Who we see in Provo

Most of the people who come to this office live in Provo, Orem, Springville, or Vineyard. Plenty drive in from farther out, including Lindon, Spanish Fork, and elsewhere in Utah County, because there are not many therapists in the state who specialize in sexual concerns.

If the drive is the obstacle, telehealth is available anywhere in Utah, and it works better than most people expect for this kind of work.

Starting at our Provo office

Fill out our contact form and tell us a little about what brings you in. We usually reply within one business day and match you with the therapist whose experience fits your concern. Every therapist accepts self pay, bishop pay, and HSA, and some accept insurance.

We also have an office in Pleasant Grove if that is closer for you.
